Né a Nice en 1965, François ARNAUD obtient le premier prix de violon au conservatoire de Nice en 1979, ainsi que le premier prix de violon au conservatoire supérieur de Lyon en 1984.
De 1984 a 1986 il est membre de l'orchestre Cannes Provence Côte d'Azur, de 1986 à 1990, il est nommé soliste de l’Opéra de Nice puis de 1990 a 1991, membre de l’orchestre National de Lyon.
Passionné par d’autres styles de musiques et surtout par l’improvisation jazz et tsigane dans laquelle il excelle, il est le violoniste que l’on compare souvent à Stéphane GRAPPELLI, c’est tout dire…
Francois Arnaud a accompagné de 1991 a 1997 de nombreux artistes tels que Stéphane GRAPPELLI, Michel LEGRAND, Charles AZNAVOUR, Michel JONASZ, Barry WHITE, Dione WARWICK, George BENSON ou encore Jerry LEWIS…dans différentes salles et différents orchestres de variété , comme le sporting club de Monte-Carlo, le casino palm-beach de Cannes, l'olympia ou bien le Zenith de Paris...
De 1997 a 2000, il part vivre en Floride et rencontre de nouveaux amis musiciens tels que Tracy Hodsdon, Stan Sorenson, Tim Skiba, Greg Rohr, Denis Alberigo. il y découvrira la musique de bluegrass, la country et la salsa..
En peu de temps, il jouera dans differents clubs de Tampa, Bradenton, Sarasota, Long Boat Key, Siesta Key..
De nouvelles expériences qui lui permettront d'enrichir et de compléter ses connaissances musicales.
De retour en 2000 sur la côte d'azur, Francois Arnaud se produit avec ses amis musiciens tels que Babik Reinhardt (qui disparaîtra un an plus tard), Christian Escoudé, Jean-Marc Jafet, Jean-Yves Candela, Yoan Sera..
2001, rencontre avec le guitariste Corse Jean-Jacques Gristi avec lequel ils participeront aux festivals de jazz a Montreux, Juan-les-Pins, Calvi, ainsi que de nombreux concerts en Corse.
En 2005 Francois Arnaud jouera dans une nouvelle formation avec Jean-Marc Jafet, David Reinhardt, Noé Reinhardt pour un concert mémorable au théâtre de verdure à Nice.
2006 cette même formation deviendra le Django Memory Quartet, avec Jean-Marc Jafet, David Reinhardt et Richard Manetti, un quartet fabuleux qui depuis, continue a tourner dans toute la France. (Musicart Production)

2008, naissance du quintet Agora, avec Jean-Yves Candela, Jean-Marc Jafet, Amaury Filliard et Sébastien Bouland.
Ce groupe se produit actuellement en région PACA et en Corse.
